Hyatt Regency Denver Convention Center is Hiring an AREA MARKETING MANAGER Near Denver, CO

Summary

The Marketing Manager will direct the development of revenue generation for the hotels by maximizing the use of electronic distribution channels including property web sites, third party eCommerce sites and social media sites. This position will report directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing to develop initiatives for the hotel and provide specific segmentation marketing guidance. This position will implement internal online Marketing/eCommerce strategies as well as the internal testing, targeting and execution of these strategies.

The objectives of this position are to:

  • Responsible for content management of brand.com (main property) site and secondary web sites
  • Responsible for SEO, PPC and strategic linking opportunities in conjunction with hotels’ 3rd party agencies
  • Optimization of web listings and OTA’s
  • Oversee scripting and content management
  • Establish exclusive social marketing offers and track results
  • Manage Marketing Communications via social media channels
  • Increase Hyatt.com and all online room revenues
  • Identify new online revenue opportunities
  • Partner with Hotel Public Relations agency

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Promote awareness and maintain positive brand image of the property and outlets (restaurants, lounge, etc.) on a local, regional and national level through consistent and targeted public relations and marketing campaigns
  • Plan, research or coordinate with approved corporate vendors and supervise the production of marketing materials, reports, promotional and internal communications materials
  • Manage annual agency budgets and plans (public relations, advertising and online) as well as local marketing plan and budget
  • Primary hotel contact of outside agencies (public relations, advertising and online)
  • Enforce brand standards
  • Act as the lead expert, manager, and facilitator for strategies, as well as the support resource for technical implementation of eCommerce initiatives
  • Identify and drive opportunities for eCommerce revenue generation for the property through facilitation of brand and individual partnership initiatives i.e. strategic linking with key partners.
  • Develop and implement an eCommerce evaluation process to identify opportunities and measure eCommerce management effectiveness.
  • Work with Director of Sales and Marketing and Revenue Manager to review analytics to measure success/failure of campaigns.
  • Monitor accurate presence and positioning of brand web site, third party eCommerce sites, competitors’ websites and social medial channels.
  • Develop, implement and act as a liaison with Hyatt eCommerce team and Revinate to increase revenues and market share.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of daily operations and communicate corporate promotions and campaigns for the hotel.
  • Initiate relevant market research to continuously benchmark our performance against key competitors as well as understand customer needs (internal and external) as a basis for future business strategies and initiatives
  • Meet regularly with DOSM to stay current on changing business needs in order to develop and/or revise tactics to address concerns and opportunities
  • Host hotel’s Marketing meetings (i.e. weekly/biweekly/monthly)

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Self-starter and a team leader
  • Effective management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Creative, organized and strong business sense
  • Superb proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Effective communications & presentation skills
  • Data modeling skills
  • Web analytics experience
  • Proven quantitative analytical skills
  • CRM experience preferred
  • Degree in Marketing / PR / Communications, Hospitality Management or related disciplines
  • 3 years minimum experience with digital media planning (SEO, PPC, display, mobile and social platforms) relevant to local market
  • Web-related project management experience preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing principles and strategic planning process

The budgeted range for this position is $64,100 - $80,100. Actual pay will be commensurate with experience.
