Rising Star Roofing a branch of Northpoint Roofing Systems is hiring a Sales Manager in South Windsor, CT. 
 
The Sales Manager, under the direction of the General Manager, is responsible for building, managing, and directing an outside sales team while ensuring progress toward Company objectives and sales targets.  Responsibilities

• Accomplish team objectives by managing staff, hire, train, coach, counsel, guide, and discipline employees
• Achieve company objectives by analyzing sales and performance data, developing actionable insights, identifying specific targets, building strategies, and making forecasts
• Develop a sales business plan; a strategic plan that outlines the goals, objectives, and strategies of the Company’s sales team to achieve revenue targets
• Document all sales activity in database with a high degree of accuracy and correctness
• Develop sales team through motivation, counseling, and product knowledge education
• Set sales targets, assign leads, and guide sales team to achieve revenue targets
• Generate new business, and establish and nurture client relationships
• Develop and execute strategies to increase sales, grow customer base
• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
• Resolve customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations
• Upon successful completion of sales, work closely with accounting to manage commission plans and calculate commission earnings
• Collaborate with marketing and production teams to develop sales collateral and pricing documents
• Attend department meetings, keep current on sales information, products, and industry trends
• Monitor multiple projects and prioritize tasks within projects
• Exceed weekly/monthly sales quotas
• Work collaboratively with other teams and business units to achieve Company objectives
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed accurately
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills
• Strong supervisor and leadership skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with tablets, Apple iPads (iPadOS)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

​Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and equivalent experience
• 5 years of experience in roofing industry with experience in sales/business development
• Documented performance of increasing revenue
• Knowledge of applicable local laws and building codes
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to travel; must have a valid driver’s license
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• CRM experience
• Reliable, resilient, collaborative, team-oriented
