Are you an experienced accounting professional looking to join a dynamic team in the heart of Tribeca? Barrière Fouquet’s New York Hotel is seeking an Accounting Credit Manager to oversee our financial credit operations.

Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities Include but are not limited to: All aspects of Income Audit and All aspects of Accounts Receivable
• Prepare, maintain, audit, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables
• Complete period-end closing procedures and reports as specified
• Organize, secure, and maintain all files, records, cash and cash equivalents in accordance with policies and procedures
• Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information
• Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals, ledgers, and/or computers
• Must have experience and knowledge of functions such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, General Cashier, Payroll, and Income audit
• Ensure daily transactions are posted and updated in a timely manner and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Follow-up and resolve past due accounts and vendor invoices until payment in full is received or resolved
• May input General Ledger entries and journal vouchers as required
• Ensure all 3rd party payments are processed accurately and on time, with the appropriate level of reconciliation
• Assist Director of Finance with maintaining the effectiveness of internal controls to safeguard the assets and resources of the hotel
• Assist Director of Finance with conducting internal operations review and internal audit self-assessments to ensure departmental compliance with corporate policies and procedures
• May assist with other duties as assigned by Director of Finance

Requirements:

• Knowledge of accounting principles including general ledgers and journal entry
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required
• Minimum of 4 years of experience required working in similar capacity and role
• Experience in all fields of accounting (AP / Income Audit / AR / Cashiering / Payroll )
• Previous experience in the Hospitality industry is preferred
• OPERA experience required
