Home Team Management Company LLC is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Charleston, SC

Job Description:

Under supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the HR Generalist is responsible for ensuring policies and procedures are followed while running the daily functions of the department including but not limited to recruiting, onboarding, retention, as well as employee relations.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilities the onboarding and hiring processes for open positions. Works with management to gather internal needs and strategizes how to meet those goals.
  • Conducts background checks and professionally manages sensitive conversations with candidates.
  • Reconcile background screen billing.
  • Facilitates and attends monthly new hire orientations (includes travel).
  • Assists in maintaining electronic employee records.
  • Assists with benefits eligibility reporting.
  • Involved in administering programs including but not limited to benefits, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance management, recognition, morale, occupational health, and safety.
  • Attends and participates in manager meetings, disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state (SC and CO), and local employment laws and regulations.
  • This position requires travel to various restaurant locations throughout the state of SC.
  • Employee merchandise orders and billing.
  • I-9 / E-Verify


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High school diploma: certification in Hospitality or Restaurant Management is a plus.
  • At least one year of HR management experience.
  • Familiarity with restaurant software (Toast, 7Shifts, Restaurant365, etc) is a plus.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Customer service attitude.
  • Strong communication skills. Professional etiquette via email, telephone, and in-person communication.
  • Time management is a must.
  • Availability to work upwards of 40 hours per week.
  • Availability to work occasional evenings, holidays, weekends.
