Hollywood Tans chain of tanning salons is rapidly growing and seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep our facilities running at their best! The ideal candidate would be someone with previous home improvement experience. You will be working on tanning equipment, spray tan machines, red light therapy devices, and other services. In addition to our equipment, you will be fixing/maintaining all facets of the stores such as fixing leaky sinks, replacing toilets, replacing light bulbs and light fixtures, touch-up paint, repairing broken doors, door handles, ceiling tiles, and other parts of the salon.
Additional projects include-- finding and overseeing licensed trades for bigger projects such as electricians, plumbers, and/or HVAC contractors whenever we are adding new equipment or remodeling stores. Huge plus if you have experience with electrical but if something is above your head, you'll just need to find an electrician in the area to perform the work.
A knowledge of tanning beds or any of our machines is not required, we will provide virtual tech support/training and after 60 days, send you to tech training. You will be connected with experienced technicians across the country to call who will help you troubleshoot and fix issues while you're learning.
We are building and acquiring new stores every single year. You will be the contractor laisson and assist with the construction of new salons.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems
- Fabricate and install various components and fixtures
- Conduct inspections to identify issues and determine appropriate solutions
- Respond to customer service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Troubleshoot and analyze electrical, mechanical, and plumbing problems
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage and high voltage systems
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects and tasks efficiently
Skills:
- Strong technical skills in industrial electrician work
- Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage systems
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Proficient in using hand and power tools for repairs and installations
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Strong communication skills for effective customer service interactions
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality workmanship
