Position Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall, electrical, mechanical and more. The employee should be capable of performing all procedures in a safe and judicious manner. The employee will display a solid knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the maintenance field. The employee will work under limited supervision and requires a degree of critical thinking. Primary job functions will require exercising independent judgment and performing decision making processes. This position reports to a senior technician or management. Competencies:

The employee should have an eminent level of technical competence. The employee needs to be an excellent communicator and be capable of displaying effective oral and written communication skills. Must possess effective math skills and have the ability to work within a team atmosphere. The employee should possess a solid understanding of, and the ability to interpret, building prints and drawings.
Required Licensure Certification:
Must possess and maintain a current and valid driver’s license. Any individual certifications related to the maintenance field are advantageous.
