Overview

The Regional Technical Manager (RTM) is a dynamic leader of people and processesfor the Warranty/Technical Services team at Holcim Building Envelope division(formerly Firestone Building Products). Holcim Building Envelope is based out ofNashville, and part of the larger Holcim US corporation. This RTM position is for theMid-Atlantic Region.

The RTM is responsible for managing a cross-functional team in each of the SalesRegions. This is a customer facing position. The RTM is ultimately responsible forworking with the Regional Business Manager and the Independent Sales Reps intheir region to promote, sell, and support our products while controlling our long-termwarranty liability and ensuring contractor satisfaction with Elevate (formerly Firestone,GenFlex, and Gaco.

*** The Mid-Atlantic Region consists of: Georgia (majority), Kentucky, NorthCarolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee (majority), Virginia, and West Virginia(majority). ***

*** This role is hybrid-work eligible for those who live in Nashville and will work out ofthe corporate office. There is also fully remote-work option available for qualifiedcandidates who live within the Mid-Atlantic Region: Georgia Kentucky,North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.) ***

Responsibilities

• Experience leading a team, coaching teammates, being a mentor, and challenging personnel to grow to meet assigned company objectives.
• Experience working with internal and external customers to understand, document, and troubleshoot issues that arise in the PIN approval, roof application, and warranty issuance processes.
• Ability to read, follow, and learn system instructions to operate in the SAP environment effectively.
• Ability to train office-based teammates to perform their functions to company standards.
• Ability to perform ride along reviews of technical representatives to ensure consistent inspection quality in the field.
• Manage Field Technical Representative productivity to KPI objectives.
• Educate teammates on, and enforce, corporate policies and procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and to conduct root cause analysis to understand the reason an issue occurred and how to prevent it from reoccurring.
• Ability to hold teammates accountable for poor performance or disruptive behavior.
• Ability to read blueprints, construction drawings and specifications and be knowledgeable of the commercial roofing trade and technical field operations.
• Ability to travel 25%.

Qualifications

BASE REQUIREMENT: (one required)

• Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, or similar field,;

OR

• Minimum 10 years active duty in a construction trade military occupational specialty (MOS) (verified by DD214);

OR

• High school diploma and minimum of 10 years’ construction experience, with experience in directly managing a construction ortechnical crew(s).

Further requirements to be successful in this role are:

• Minimum three years experience on the technical or installation side of the commercial roofing trade.
• Must be able to travel overnight up to 25% of the time by air or car.

Strongest candidates will also have:

• Experience as a Project Manager, Supervisor, leader of complex teams.
