HMS Mfg. Co. is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Little Rock, AR

As the HR Generalist you will be responsible for implementing processes and promoting programs that support our core values and provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes safety, quality, productivity standards, and goal attainment to advance effective retention strategies and improve HR operations.

Major Responsibilities

  • Create and conduct employee onboarding activities to educate direct and temporary employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations to ensure a positive experience and rapid engagement.
  • Ability to answer questions and concerns of employees at all levels while providing coaching and guidance on routine employee relations matters (employee development, performance feedback, attendance, disciplinary actions, benefits, etc.).
  • Assists with maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices and staying on top of market trends, regulatory changes, and employment law.
  • Manage a variety of assignments concurrently, interact professionally and effectively with all levels of management and staff, and ensure the highest level of confidentiality related to company and employee information through effective and efficient communication.
  • Assist in recruitment, compliance audits, benefits administration for new hires and annual open enrollment, and employee engagement programs.
  • Meets with management and employees on employee relations issues, conducts thorough investigations, and resolves problems through disciplinary actions up though termination.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field or experience in lieu of education.
  • Must have strong knowledge working with MS Office Suites and HRIS.
  • Must be results oriented, able to make decisions, solve problems, be resourceful, have excellent organizational skills, keen attention to detail, analytically driven and able to effectively manage projects and tight deadlines.
  • Must have strong team building, leadership, coaching, and development skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., stand, and move about the facility for extended periods of time.
