As the Warehouse Supervisor you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of people within the warehouse function to ensure HMS Mfg. Co’s targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements. This is a safety sensitive position.

Major Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other departments to develop, implement, and ensure strategic plans and compliance with distribution center processes and procedures based on industry best practices.
• Develop metrics, drive continuous improvement, and establish operational goals for cost reduction, productivity, quality, and safety to achieve the company’s targets and objectives.
• Generate and distribute warehouse operational reports and review shipping reports to determine work requirements and coordinate staffing needs with receiving, shipping, and manufacturing.
• Monitor shipping progress to ensure orders are processed and shipped in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure employees are adequately trained and knowledgeable within all warehouse functions to ensure operational flexibility.
• Monitor and maintain the condition of the warehouse, vehicles, and equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills Required

• High school Diploma or GED. College degree preferred.
• 3 years’ experience in warehousing or related discipline with 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to make decisions, solve problems, and build a strong team to develop skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Prior stand-up forklift experience a plus.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to sit, stand, and move about the facility for long periods of time.
