SUMMARY

The Channel Account Manager will be responsible for overall management of current key distribution account relationships both on the corporate level and sales side of the business. They will be required to develop channel and customer strategies that promote new business development and revenue growth. The position is responsible for understanding our brands, products, users, and applications across various distribution models.

LOCATION

Preferred in Grand Rapids, MI but open to Nationwide applicants

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain relationships with contacts at different levels of key distributor accounts including executive management, product development, national accounts, safety sales and branch arm
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for key distributor partners that increases brand awareness, product presence and revenue generation for all company products and services
  • Develop and execute specific marketing and sales-oriented programs with distribution partners to support key corporate initiatives or product launches
  • Increase revenue through the development of specific account plans to include new business development, product presentations, promotional programs, trade show plans, and overall account management
  • Work with distributor sales teams on qualifying national account opportunities and coordinate with HexArmor’s global accounts team and Regional Sales Managers on opportunity execution
  • Acts as advocate within distribution partners on behalf of strategic customers
  • Key liaison between the distributor and all HexArmor departments including customer service, purchasing/sourcing, logistics as well as senior management
  • Identify and maintain knowledge of all current business with key distribution accounts
  • Manage all aspects of key account sales data. Be able to spot trends and identify potential early warning signs with vulnerable accounts to proactively mitigate risk
  • Keep customer information and contact activity current our CRM database
  • Participation in regional or national industry trade shows, distributor training, and customer visits
  • Build and maintain partnerships with new distributors in industries or sectors currently not serviced by HexArmor

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing
  • 5 years’ experience in outside sales or account management
  • PPE sales experience preferred

TRAVEL

Up to 30% throughout the year

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • The ability to prioritize and manage several different tasks at once
  • An excellent understanding of client care
  • The ability to thrive in pressured or stressful situations
  • The ability to solve problems as they arise
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Desire and ability to work in fast-paced environment and be part of a high-performance team
  • Ability to proactively analyze sales data
  • Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems
  • Ability to learn and use data management software to baseline sales and use that data to manage assigned accounts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
