HeadQuarters Kansas is Hiring an Administrative Assistant Near Lawrence, KS

POSITION TITLE: Administrative Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY

HeadQuarters Kansas is searching for a part-time Administrative Assistant for temporary needs. The Administrative Assistant will supervised by the Director of Operations and support daily administrative and receptionist duties. The primary function of this position is to assist in day-to-day operations of the office by doing tasks such as fielding inquiries, checking the mail, coordinating schedules, and providing task assistance for the admin team. Expected work hours are Monday-Friday between the hours of 8AM-5PM.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • High School degree, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite software
  • Proficiency in English language skills, written and oral
  • Experience indicating excellent customer service skills
  • Quality written and verbal communication skills for the purpose of documentation and effective communication with colleagues
  • Must pass State & Federal criminal background checks

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Relevant work experience
  • General understanding of bookkeeping processes

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Administrative duties for the organization such as scheduling, checking mail, etc.
  • Receptionist responsibilities such as greeting office visitors and fielding external communications via email & Admin Line
  • Office supply inventory and organization support
  • Assist with office logistics and day-to-day operational needs
  • Promotes healthy relationships & boundaries, ethical practice, and a kind demeanor in the workplace and as a representative of the organization in public
  • Effective strategies for managing compassion fatigue and symptoms of burnout, along with a willingness to seek supervision and support from the organization
  • Completes other duties as assigned
