Catering & Sales Events Manager

Summary:

The Offsite Catering Manager is responsible for soliciting business to achieve sales goals and objectives. Liaises with all departments to ensure that events are planned and operated to Harwood Hospitality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• The catering sales & event manager is responsible for soliciting business to achieve sales goals and objectives.
• Such objectives are selling and coordinating food, beverage, décor, entertainment, etc for all groups while generating maximum revenue.
• This role will be responsible for all catering events offsite which will include offices, social gatherings, and corporate events.
• Actively seek new business by hosting clients, presentations, and local networking
• Gather and input all important customer data into Tripleseat to plan appropriately,(e.g., customer goals, specific needs, key account info, budgets, etc.)
• Closes sales by collecting deposits, signed contracts and BEO’s
• This role is the liaison between the guest and our venue management team
• Meets with the guests to discuss event details: Plan event via banquet event orders
• Coordinates day of with venue operations to ensure proper set up is completed for all BEOs
• Assists onsite with banquet manager for all offsite events that require set up and staffing
• Attend BEO meeting weekly
• Communicate internally with venue operations all pertinent information
• Responds to any leads that inquire after coordinator and administrator have departed for day
• Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture service standards
• Provide support to other team members of the sales team as well as other departments as assigned
• Provide leadership to the catering sales coordinator, administrator, and call center employees as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
