Description
The Vice President of Kroger will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and leading strategies for growth for our clients and our Harvest Group business at Kroger. This role will consist of a range of priorities including executive leadership at a client level, a retailer level, and with industry partners. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the leadership, structure development, and culture setting of our Kroger team. This role will have P&L responsibility for the Kroger business, including Revenue, Cost of Goods Sold, and Gross Margin targets. The ideal candidate should have significant experience in leading teams and complex businesses at Kroger. This role should also have significant relational depth at the retailer and within the Kroger ecosystem. This role will be a member of the Harvest Group leadership team and help shape strategy for our growth as a company.
We do require that this role is based with the Cincinnati Tri-State area. If you are applying but do not currently reside in this area, please note that Harvest Group does not cover relocation.
Responsibilities
  • Lead as a key advisor to clients in the goals and planning process to build a sustainable growth path for each of our client partners at Kroger
  • Work directly with Harvest Group cross-functional partners and leadership team to develop the ongoing operating model for success at Kroger and beyond
  • Develop significant relational equity with executives at both our client partners as well as at Kroger, 84.51, and other key retailer agencies.
  • Develop and design organizational structure within our Kroger team which leads to career progression for our teammates as well as P&L targets
  • Continuously study the CPG industry to ensure Harvest Group is ahead of market trends and our services are adjusting accordingly
  • Lead the continued development of the Harvest Group brand equity in the Kroger ecosystem through networking, partnerships, and marketplace involvement
Requirements
  • Must be located within the Cincinnati Tri-State area
  • 10-15 years of relevant industry experience leading teams and businesses at Kroger
  • Significant experience in developing organizational structure and building culture
  • Previous experience leading and owning a P&L for a business unit
  • Expertise in knowledge and understanding of the Kroger ecosystem including sales, marketing, retail media, and supply chain
  • Strong cross-collaboration with internal teammates
  • Self-starter with a drive to innovate and constantly improve processes and results
  • Ability to shift between big picture orientation and attention to details with ease
  • Ability to translate strategies to different stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders, achieving consensus on goals and objectives
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Adept at learning and evaluating new software programs and tools
  • Willingness to travel
