**Part-time Server**

**Times Available:**

**9:00 AM - 1:00 PM**

**7:00 AM - 2:00 PM**

**4:00 PM - 7:00 PM**

**POSITION PURPOSE**

The server position exists, as a part of the Dining Services team, to ensure the delivery of a quality dining experience for the residents of Golden West. The servers are responsible for the dining room set up, food and beverage service and attending to the needs of the residents and guests during the meal.

**REQUIREMENTS**

- Excellent customer service and communication skills, verbal and written

- Must have a positive attitude and take direction well.

- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in English

- Must be able to lift 50-60 lbs., push/pull up to 100 lbs.

- Must be able to stand and walk for at least 60 minutes at a time.

- Ability to reach up and out with arms, and have finger, hand and wrist dexterity and strength needed to complete accountabilities, such as reaching up and out with arms, grasping with hands/fingers and wrist twisting/turning.

- Must be able to lift 25 lbs, push/pull up to 50 lbs.

**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**

* Work as a productive member of the Dining Services team, maintaining a positive, courteous, helpful and professional attitude towards all individuals encountered while representing Golden West. This includes, but is not limited, to residents, family members, guests, staff members and vendors.

* Maintain an acceptable attendance record. Record all hours worked using the time clock and take breaks as per Dining Services and Golden West policies and procedures.

* Clean and sanitize assigned food preparation, equipment and storage areas in compliance with master cleaning schedule and department standards.

* Work as a team with all scheduled staff to complete the following tasks necessary to provide a quality dining experience for the residents, following department procedures and scheduled times:

Set up dining room tables

Complete all duties on side-work sheets

Assist residents and guests with seating, ordering, beverages and special requests

Take orders and accurately enter into the point of sale system

Follow established steps of service to provide a consistent and quality dining experience for all customers

Clear and clean dining room of dishes, glasses and silverware throughout service.

Complete all cleaning duties as assigned throughout the dining room

Assist in cooking and plating for special functions and/or events.

Checkout with a manager or lead prior to clocking out at the end of your shift.
