K-Designers - Accounts Payable Specialist

K Designers has over 45 years of experience providing residential siding, window installation, and other home renovation projects. Today, we have over 260 employees and associates and are one of the largest remodeling contractors in the United States.

As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be a member of the K-Designer brand accounting team and the Great Day Accounting team. Our Accounts Payable Specialist is a reliable, quick, and precise professional to help us properly maintain our payable information. We are seeking an experienced candidate to be responsible for administrative and clerical tasks including: receiving and processing invoices, scheduling payments, and other financial functions of the business. Working directly with the Controller, the Accounts Payable Specialist will act as a liaison between the team at K Designers and the Corporate team at Great Day Improvements.

Responsibilities

- Review and process invoices; verify against purchase order and confirm receipt of goods/services- Maintain detailed documentation of invoices, payments, and any relevant correspondences related to billing- Develop and manage vendor relations; corresponds with vendors and research when necessary for any billing or payment issues. - Assists in monthly closings of financial records by posting of invoices as related to AP and other assigned GL accounts; prepare analysis of accounts and/or invoices, as required.- Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables- Verify and schedule ACH payments and wire transfers- Responsible for monthly credit card reconciliation - Prepare and submit sales tax payments on a Monthly, Quarterly and Annually basis - Support HR in Payroll processing by preparing checks in between pay periods and managing benefit invoicing- Performs other related duties as assigned.- Prepare and Process 1099’s at the beginning of the year

Qualifications

- Accounting/GAAP knowledge- Ability to complete projects timely and accurately- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with non-accounting professionals- Proven experience in driving process improvement- Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills- Must be able to work well with others in a fast-paced environment- Basic computer skills including internet research, email, and Microsoft Suite

Education and Experience:

- Minimum of 5 years experience in Accounts Payable- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics preferred- Experience with basic functions in Microsoft Excel - Associate degree preferred, but not required.
