We strive to provide young people the necessary tools to realize their goals and set them on the path to living healthy and meaningful lives.Job DescriptionThe Administrative Assistant is a member of the Good Seed team, supporting the achievement of the mission: Helping youth grow and thrive! The Administrative Assistant will contribute to this mission by providing support for, and participating in, key processes and programs that sustain the purpose and overall goal of the organization. This person will work with the Executive Director and other Good Seed staff to ensure that all administrative and facility needs are met through the provision of high-level administrative work. Provide administrative support, research, preparing reports and memos, managing correspondence; and processing expense reportsCoordinate and execute special projects and initiatives as directedCoordinate meeting logistics, and prepare meeting presentations and materials as directedEnsure that office operations run smoothly, including maintaining adequate office supply replenishment; equipment maintenance; liaising with vendors to facilitate building maintenance; occasional meal services for youth; courier services; etc.Provide exceptional customer service in-person, via email and by phone to clients, co-workers, external partners, callers and visitorsCreate and maintain accurate administrative procedure manuals to ensure efficient operationsOrganize, maintain, and periodically audit the Good Seed filing system (both hard copy and electronic)Recommend opportunities for increased efficiency and process improvementsLight accountingAttend occasional special events (may include weekends)Other duties as assignedQualificationsGenuine interest in helping othersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detailExcellent organizational skillsStrong data entry and analytical skillsAbility to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines for a wide variety of assignmentsExperience working with and maintaining highly sensitive and confidential informationFlexibleAbility to operate standard office equipment and troubleshoot issuesEfficient in Microsoft Office SuitePreferred, working knowledge of QuickBooksSound judgement and decision making abilityHigh School Diploma (required)Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)3 years experience in an office environmentAbility to lift 25lbsAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
