About the Position

The Golden State Warriors are looking for an organized and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to ensure the timely billing and collections of payments from our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for the processing of cash receipts, A/R postings & ledger reporting, invoicing, collections, journal entry creation, and account reconciliations. This position is viewed as a critical role for the success of the accounting department and you are required to have a strong accounting and application background, as well as a deep understanding of accounting principles. This position reports to the Manager, Revenue Accounting.

This is a full-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Research cash receipts, coding, and posting of receipts for multiple companies
• Research and apply unallocated cash daily
• Generate and provide invoices to customers and departmental leads
• Generate A/R aging reports and review for correctness
• Interact with departments to coordinate on collection of aged A/R
• Perform monthly reconciliation of cash and A/R accounts
• Review and provide monthly financial and management reports
• Assist in preparation of audit requests as needed
• Assist in financial management and analysis, as requested

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of accounts receivable experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced Excel skills; NetSuite accounting experience preferred
• Hands-on data entry and knowledge of accounts receivable, including cash application and collection
• Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service and resolution skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with clients and peers at all levels within the organization
• Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects at once in a fast-paced work environment
• Maintain confidentiality of pertinent company data
