What Will You Do?

This is a critical hands-on position that is focused on developing skill in our learners from entry-level to journeyman status. This person will coordinate, support and shift responsibilities often based on the needs of the moment. At GSI, we use a high level of technology to accomplish our mission. Our learners are construction and engineering focused individuals that enjoy working with their hands, being in the outdoors and leading a very active lifestyle on and off the job. Responsibilities

What work will I be performing?

  • Coordinate all aspects of our world-class new hire orientation and onboarding program including content facilitation, e-learning admin, and coordination with supporting departments.
  • Coordinate training activities that happen at our KY warehouse throughout the year as needed by the Leader of L&D.
  • Interact routinely with our learning management system to assign training plans, trouble-shoot with users.
  • Demonstrate strength with mobile and learning focused technology. This role will model the correct use of technology across the organization.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, coordinate with various departments and be accountable for spending.
  • Possess or willingness to learn skills in e-learning development.
  • Coordinate activities across a variety of client learning management systems for our employees.
  • Work in virtual environment to support employees working in remote settings.
  • Research compliance and safety requirements for various client site requirements.
  • Be responsible for a company credit card to use in routine company purchases.
  • Have fun and collaborate well with team members!!
  • Being willing to share workloads during vacations and collaborate on projects outside of normal duties and routines.

Qualifications

What Do I Need to Bring?

Minimum qualifications

  • High School diploma required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • Two years of training and development experience preferred. 
  • One or more years of experience with adult learning, instructional design, professional development, curriculum development, or performance improvement. 
  • One or more years of Talent Management and Learning Management System experience.
  • Ability to determine, write, and articulate training objectives
  • Organizing and coordinating skills
  • Skill in preparing instructional aids and training plans

Computer Skills:

  • MS Office required.
  • Proficient with authoring tools such as Articulate or Adobe CS branded products.

Key Performance Indicators

  • New Hire Orientation process reviewed and optimized quarterly
  • Coordinate SPRAT, Shotcrete and other in-house trainings as required
  • Coordinate all Crew Optimization sessions
  • Assign compliance training timely to avoid client or project timeline interference
  • Attend all team collabs

Must have ability to travel 25% of the time
