POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Marketing Division and Georgia Grown program assists in the marketing and sale of Georgia Grown agricultural products both domestically and internationally.
This role will perform a variety of complex administrative tasks, manage financial operations, and generate operational reports to support the marketing team's objectives.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Overseeing procurement processes for the Marketing Division, encompassing vendor selection, bid reception, requisition creation, and contract management.
·Managing communications for the marketing office, addressing inquiries from consumers, and Georgia Grown members, and responding promptly to voicemails, emails, and letters.
·Supporting additional functions of the Marketing Division, such as operations at state farmers markets, oversight of commodity commissions, and licensing for Vidalia onions.
·Collaborating with other departments, external agencies, and vendors to resolve business-related issues.
·Exercising independent judgment across various tasks may lead to or provide substantial support for projects, grants, contracts, procedural implementations, or other specialized functions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field
Physical Demands:
·The position requires primarily office work including the need to move boxes, supplies, and materials.
·May need to lift boxes of up to 25 lbs.
·The position also entails walking throughout the office to deliver mail, checks, and other documents.
