Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation (GFBF)
GFBF Mission: to partner with fire service & burn care community to provide safety and prevention education, support medical facilities, and assist burn survivors in their journey of recovery.
Reports to: Executive Director
Works with: GFBF staff, volunteers, fire service, public safety, medical personnel, corporate and community partners, donors, service population, and other committees/groups as assigned.
Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation is seeking a motivated and experienced Development Manager to join our team on a part-time contract basis, to develop and spearhead fundraising efforts crucial for increasing resources; This position offers a tremendous opportunity to make a meaningful impact by cultivating relationships & implementing fund development strategies that align with the mission and goals of the foundation.
The Development Manager will play a key role in advancing the organization's fundraising efforts to support the mission of serving individuals, families and communities affected by burn injury and trauma through securing resources essential to sustain and grow program service offerings.
Work is remote and will normally be performed at the office of the Development Manager, but occasionally take place at other locations as required including weekly staff meetings held onsite at GFBF and other events as outlined. Must be willing to adjust flexible work schedule to accommodate occasional evening and/or weekend activities.
The Development Manager establishes and maintains official documentation and recordkeeping including campaign reports and account portfolios; participation in budget preparation, expense accounting, staff meetings, team building events and Board of Director meetings upon request; Limited travel required for attendance at various local association meetings, national conferences, community groups, and other gatherings beneficial to increasing the foundations’ knowledge base and visibility within service area.
The ideal candidate is expected to be adept at promoting the foundation, relationship building with key partners, donor cultivation, securing grants, organizing special events; work with the team in crafting language to ensure consistency of foundation public messaging.
