 Legacy Mutual Mortgage is an outstanding full service residential mortgage lender originating, underwriting and closing conventional, jumbo, FHA, VA and USDA mortgage loans. In business since 2003, we are dedicated to meeting the home loan needs of individual homebuyers while working with our real estate partners in Texas. Essential Functions Include:

• Acts as an extension of the loan originator. Assists the loan originator with other administrative and/or sales duties.
• Manage and follow up with all new and existing leads in a timely and accurate manner.
• Prequalifies clients to include discussing potential qualifying amount, loan program and options.
• Provides needs list of all items for a complete loan application.
• Prepares pre-qualification/pre-approval/commitment letters.
• Gather and enter complete loan application into loan origination system.
• Understands and researches all investor guidelines and is up-to-date in any and all program changes that affect the processing or originating of loans in pipeline.
• Submits complete files to Productions Associate III based on Investor and/or AUS requirements to get ready for submission to Underwriting. 
• Communicates to Production Associate III all information pertaining to client and/or property to meet file expectations.
• Communicates loan approval by sending pre-approval/commitment letters to all parties involved in transaction.
• Tracks and manages new leads and follows up on referral business.
• Assist the Loan Originator with other administrative and/or sales duties as needed.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of mortgage processing, underwriting, originating, or a combination of all aspects.
• Must be able to work 40 hours a week during normal business hours.
• Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook applications.
• Must be proficient in Desktop Underwriter/Desktop Originator, Loan Prospector, and Originations systems.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have a positive attitude and maintain professionalism.
• Must be dependable, self-motivated and require minimal supervision.
• Must be proficient with major correspondent and wholesale channels and their guidelines, including their websites and pricing engines.
• Must be organized and detail oriented.
