Administrative Assistant

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to work with our Executive Business Manager in our Lakewood, NJ office. This is a 3-month assignment with the opportunity to continue with a permanent position.

We are a high-volume ecommerce company that sells a wide assortment of products across many online platforms. We specialize in consumer electronics but sell many other categories as well. Our headquarters is in Brooklyn and our warehouses are in central NJ. You will be travelling with the Executive Business Manager to these locations on a weekly basis.

The Role:

This role is Administrative Assistant to the Executive Business Manager. You will be responsible for maintaining the manager’s calendar and task lists but will also actively work on & manage projects across related e-commerce departments. On those projects you may be asked to join the manager in meetings and follow up with colleagues on key tasks or lead an entire project.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn about every facet of an e-commerce business. This is a fast-paced job, and you must be able to shift gears quickly while remaining on task. No job will be too small or too big. One moment you will be scheduling meetings and the next you will be giving a project update to the executive team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive administrative support to Executive Business Manager.
  • Maintain Executive Business Manager’s calendar and task lists.
  • Travel with the Executive Business Manager to our Brooklyn and North Brunswick locations on a weekly basis
  • Generate reports and conduct basic review for business performance. Share findings with management.
  • Assist the Executive Business Manager in every aspect of the job to make the greater team more efficient and increase work capacity.
  • Coordinate projects across departments. Follow up to ensure timely completion.
  • Record, type, and distribute meeting minutes for both internal and external meetings.
  • Communicate relevant information to all team members and other departments, as necessary.
  • Always looking for solutions and have the confidence and ability to implement solutions from beginning to end.
  • Excellent people skills. In the role, you will be interacting with people of all backgrounds, skills and cultures and must know how effectively work with everyone.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years administrative experience.
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of retail math concepts and ECommerce is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly Organized and detail oriented.
  • Excellent follow-up skills.
  • Interested in all aspects of business operations.
  • Excellent computer skills especially in Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook.
  • Comfortable with numbers and basic data analytics.
  • Punctual and able to work full-time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
