POSITION: Accounts Payable Supervisor

REPORTS TO: Director, Controllership

Position Summary

Develop, implement, maintain systems, procedures, and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines. Directly supervise a team of Sr. A/P Specialists.

Essential Functions

• Oversee all aspects of Accounts Payable.
• Manage accounts payable processes from petty cash to expense reports to account reconciliation.
• Focus on talent development, building a strong support team.
• Act as a working supervisor to assist the team with any transactional activities as needed.
• Complete month-end closing reviews, procedures and corrections as needed.
• Automate any manual accounting and financial reporting or analysis with accounting software.
• Develop new training documentation and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Manage processes such as Concur Expense Reporting, customer refunds, P-Card, etc.
• 1099 maintenance.
• Respond to vendor inquiries.
• Assist in month end closing.
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
• Be able to conduct user training.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Education/Experience)

• Equivalent combination of education and experience. (Accounting and Finance).
• 5 years’ experience in Procure-to-Pay mid-size organization.
• Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• High level of proficiency with Excel required; SAP preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess excellent organizational skills as well as an ability to think analytically.
• Ability to build strong relationships.
• Attention to detail and an eye for accuracy.
• A self-starter who is resourceful and displays initiative.

FLSA Designation: This position is a Salaried Exempt and not eligible for overtime.
