Job Responsibilities

The Front Desk Manager possesses strong communication, telephone, and customer service skills. Front Desk Manager must be detail oriented and able to multitask. Meets and greets residents, checks guests and service providers in and out. The Front Desk Manager will have the ability to understand and react to emergency response and access control procedures. Monitors and operates electronic security control systems and accurately maintains daily logs, records and forms. Oversees all front desk staff and executes all Merit reviews. Assists General Manager in the training and implementation of Front Desk Standards of Procedures (SOP). The Front Desk Manager has the competency and intrapersonal skills to work independently, and without direct supervision.

Location: Henderson area Must be available from: 5AM - 10PM, 7 days a week (shift varies) Full Benefits

Job Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The job duties listed are typical examples of the work performed by positions in this job classification. Not all duties assigned to every position are included, nor is it expected that all positions will be assigned every duty.

  • Demonstrates concierge level customer service, communication and time management skills.
  • Supervise front desk associates. This includes: Conduct merit reviews. Assess training needs and arrange training schedules.
  • Oversees and schedules all Front Desk staff.
  • Keeps track of activity logs, incident reports for the General/ Community Manager's review.
  • Provides training for all new hires assigned to property.
  • Monitors Emergency Response System.
  • Greets and directs residents, guests and invitees.
  • Responds to emergency situations in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitors and controls access to the building.
  • Maintains daily log, records and forms.
  • Resolves and follows-up on all complaints/issues with the General/ Community Manager.
  • Maintains a safe and secure environment throughout the building/property(s).
  • May be assigned other duties by the on-site General/ Community Manager.
  • Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
  • Receive process and distribute packages to building departments and residents.
  • Must be able to hear in order to receive telephone calls and interact with clients.
  • Must answer incoming calls immediately and operate the company paging system.
  • Complete data entry into various company systems in support of business needs.
  • Work effectively with co-workers, clients and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; being willing to accept other tasks when requested, and respecting the diversity of our workforce in actions, words and deeds.
  • Attend all company mandatory functions.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Any other tasks as requested by the General/Community Manager

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

  • Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards.
  • Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
  • Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
  • May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
  • Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
  • Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in English. Spanish, Chinese, Tagalog or other languages a plus.
  • Strong general math skills.

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.
  • Must be able to hear to place and receive telephone calls.
  • Must be mobile enough to move around the office in order to make copies, distribute mail, etc.
  • Must be able to lift 35lbs.
