First National Asset Management makes loans secured by real estate, specializing in Texas and Nevada property tax loans and commercial loans. Hunter-Kelsey of Texas, LLC and Propel Financial Services are brands utilized under FNAM. Founded in 2005, Hunter-Kelsey has made over 10,000 loans. Founded in 2007, Propel has made over 55,000 loans. Combined, they are one of the largest property tax lenders in Texas.

The Payment Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all customer payments are processed timely and accurately. They are also responsible for posting payoffs, ensuring refunds are processed and release of liens are requested. The Payment Operations Clerk is responsible for processing return items and adding charges to accounts. This position reports to the Payment Operations Manager and is part of the Finance and Accounting Department.

Primary responsibilities include: 

• Performs daily posting functions, including processing wires and ACH transactions, debit card payments, lockbox transactions and remote deposit capture.
• Responsible for depositing all checks received at office, including payments, and other business items not posted to servicing system.
• Processes daily Lockbox files in the servicing system.
• Post Payoffs, which includes ensuring Release of Lien fee is paid and requested and excess is refunded.
• Resolves payment related inquiries from customers or colleagues and makes corrections to the loan servicing system.
• Reconciles payments posted to weekly reports and bank activity.
• Performs adjustments to funding, principal, interest, fees, and charges as requested by approving party.
• Process account refinances and records payment for unbilled charges and pending invoices. 
• Performs special projects as requested by manager.
• Provides excellent professional customer service to both internal and external customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
• 1-2 years’ relevant experience
• Accounting and Accounts Receivable experience preferred
• Superior Excel Skills
• Experience with Salesforce and Intacct or similar systems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
