SalarySalary Range: $20,893.60/Annualized, based on 20 hours per week

Essential FunctionsUTSA Advancement & Alumni Engagement seeks a part-time detail-oriented individual with problem-solving skills to serve as a Gift Services Specialists I.
The Gift Services Specialist I will serve as a member of the Advancement Services & Operations team. They will be responsible for a variety of complex duties associated with processing gifts made to the university. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Receives and processes various gifts in the form of pledges, pledge payments, matching gifts, and other comparable methods; assigns funds, campaign, appeal, solicitor codes and creates electronic files.
- Determines appropriate gift designations by reviewing accompanying documentation or requesting additional information prior to entry.
- Prepares daily deposits and delivers deposits to the Office of Fiscal Services.
- Review gift related mail for biographical information updates; create and update constituent records as needed.
- Interacts directly with staff, donors and general public to respond to inquiries regarding donations.
- Assists with organizing and maintaining filing system.
- Assists in maintaining operating procedure documents to support department activities and increase productivity and quality assurance of gift processing.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED and 4 years of data entry, administrative support, bookkeeping experience and/or directly related experience required.
Additional education may substitute for experience on a one for one basis.- Ability to maintain a high level of productivity and quality in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team environment
- Problem-solving skills and ability to proactively analyze issues.
- Ability to maintain confidentially
- Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated superior customer service skills
- Computer knowledge and ability to use word processing, email, spreadsheet and database software programs.
Preferred QualificationsAssociate's degree from an accredited institution.
- Clerical, administration support and/or bookkeeping experience with basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Similar development, gift processing, or financial experience
- Similar experience in higher education
- Experience with The Raiser's Edge database
- Knowledge of matching gift policies and procedures.
