As a Business Development Manager at Farmer Brothers, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team dedicated to driving sales growth in targeted markets. Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development: Develop comprehensive strategies to identify and target potential clients across various industries and market segments.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and mentor a team of account acquisition specialists to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and analyze team performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize performance.
  • Pipeline Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of a robust pipeline of potential clients, ensuring a steady flow of new accounts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to align acquisition efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the account acquisition team.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports and presentations on acquisition performance, trends, and insights for senior management.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
  • 3 years of solid new business sales experience required.
  • Previous experience in foodservice preferred.
  • Proven successful negotiation experience required.
  • Experience with cold calling required.
