Duties And Responsibilities- Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes.
- Ensure all the Campus areas orders are done timely and delivered
- Creating new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers.
- Decorating pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting.
- Comply with standards of service and assist in assuring the same consistency with all staff and or bakers assistants
- Manage day-to-day operations of the bakery in a consistent polite and professional manner
- Ordering all needs from the authorized Food service distributers
- Assist in the control of food cost by practicing proper food preparation and handling. Require strict adherence to health department sanitation and food guidelines
- Maintain cleanly work area, ensure coolers and freezers are organized and clean
- Receive, check and put away food orders as needed
- Responsible to ensure all equipment is working
- Cost all products developed
- Maintain daily waste logs
- Ensure proper pricing of goods sold
- Guide and motivate bakery staff to work more efficiently
- Produce fresh baked goods daily for campus, including Farmhouse Restaurant & Banquets, Cowfe, BP & Seasonal Market
- Monitor product rotation and expiration dates
- Demonstrate ability to forecast, and order accordingly
- Maintain an accurate inventory and reporting
- Ability to solve staff issues as they arise while maintaining effective relationships with management and staff
- Responsible for managing all bakery costs and ensure that the bakery remains viable
- Upholding company policies and procedures with self and monitor with staff
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to develop a successful business
- Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses to alternative solutions and conclusions to a problem
- Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to perform a job
- The ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
- The ability to lift more than 50lbs.
- The ability to multitask and complete tasks assigned in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to communicate and coordinate well with others by displaying respect to customers and co-workers
- Standing for more than 8 hours
- Must have flexible hours and work weekends
- Honest, reliable, responsible and dependable
- Job requires to develop a practical working environment along with self-guiding with little or no supervision.
- Must be detail oriented.
Education Or Experience- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- 3 years of previous work-related managerial experience
- Serve Safe Certification
