Job Description :

As the Pastry Assistant, you'll becrucial to the success of food outlets and banquets. Reporting to the PastryChef, you'll ensure quality, safety, and training standards, overseeing teamstandards, menu development, inventories, and maintaining the highest servicestandards.

• Location : Rolling Hills, CA
• Hours : Full Time, 2 : 00PM 10 : 00PM, Wednesday to Sunday
• Pay : $23-$25 / Hour(Depending on Experience)

Key Responsibilities :

• Execute restaurant and banquet services.
• Operate successfully with a sales volume of$5-$6 million.
• Demonstrate expertise in culinary techniques,menu creation, and food preparation.
• Ensure product quality, freshness, andpresentation meet company standards.
• Supervise pastry cooks and oversee foodpreparation under the Pastry Chef's direction.
• Train and mentor, a culinary team of people
• Promote teamwork, professionalism, and adherenceto policies and procedures.

Qualifications andExpectations :

• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends,and holidays.
• CA Food Handlers Certification.
• Proficiency in various pastry subjects (PullingSugar, Classical French, Breads, Modern Pastries, and Cakes)
• Comprehensive knowledge of food allergies,foodborne illnesses, and menu pricing
• Familiarity with CA State Laws and regulations,human resource policies
• Strong communication skills, active listening,and learning abilities

Physical Demands and WorkEnvironment :

• Ability to work in hot, humid, slippery, and wetconditions.
• Comfortable working in a busy, noisy environment.
• Able to meet physical job requirements,including lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling.
• Continuous standing and walking

Education and / or Experience :

• Years of Baking Experience (Preferred)
• Private Club Experience (Preferred)
• Culinary Degree / Bachelor's (Preferred)
• Fine Dining Background Preferred.
