Scope of Position: This position provides great customer service by greeting, welcoming, directing, screening and triaging customers to the appropriate partner at the American Job Center in the Northern Middle Tennessee Region.

Essential Functions

• Answer and direct calls in a polite and friendly manner
• Welcome visitors in a warm and friendly manner, and answer any questions visitors have
• Support Career Advisors with intake, prescreening, outreach and participant follow up.
• Maintain reception area and all common areas in a clean and tidy manner at all times
• Operate standard office equipment on a regular basis, including fax machine, a copy machine and a computer
• Maintains calendar for American Job Center and coworkers
• Ensure all customers are checked-in the Virtual One Stop Greeter System
• Perform any other clerical duties necessary to keep the office running
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements

• Ability to prioritize tasks, document visits and contacts, and maintain flexibility
• Proven verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required
• High school diploma required; College degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Customer service experience required
• Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation
• Demonstrate ability to cross train and learn all basic information for all American Job Center Partner Programs
