We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance/Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various financial tasks, including but not limited to preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable/receivable, reconciling bank statements, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate will provide strategic support to the finance team and management including process and documentation, controls implementation, treasury management, assisting completion of the company's annual audits along with other projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP principles and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Duties:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements
• Assist with accounts payable/receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash transactions
• Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Assist with financial audits as needed
• Stay informed about relevant accounting regulations and best practices

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
- Entry level experience in accounting or finance roles
- Some knowledge of GAAP principles and financial report interpretation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with month-end and year-end close processes
• Strong Excel skills and Windows-based finance system knowledge
• Proven ability to concurrently perform multiple assignments and manage projects on strict deadlines under pressure
