Kuros Biosciences USA is looking for a Staff Accountant to focus on the accounts payable process and other accounting functions. The ideal candidate is a team player, has excellent communication skills, is self-motivated, has excellent attention to detail, is well organized, and strives to do their job efficiently.

The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day duties for the finance department in Atlanta, Georgia, and will report to the Accounting Manager. This is a hybrid role located in Sandy Springs, Georgia.

Staff Accountant Job Duties, but not limited to:

• AP Process: Vendor setup, issuing POs, invoices, and payment runs.
• Keep track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, approvals, etc.
• Review and reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing to ERP system reports.
• Interact with external stakeholders such as suppliers and customers for invoice/payment inquiries.
• As the account payable duties are mastered, the position will cross-train into other accounting receivable responsibilities including compiling, preparing invoices, posting receipts, reconciliation, resolving discrepancies and collecting on an as needed basis.
• Analyze weekly/monthly credit card statements by matching documentation for accounting purposes and coding to correct expense/cost center.
• Respond to questions from employees and support and guide accounting policies and procedures.
• Month-end support, which includes accruals, prepaid, and Journal entries.
• Interim and year-end audit support, pulling documents to provide support.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or 10 years of accounting work experience
• 1-5 years of accounting experience at a small or mid-size company
• Experience with accounting software and data entry, journal entries
• Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong understanding of accruals and General Ledger entries
• Advanced knowledge and experience with Excel spreadsheets
• Strong organizational and communication skills, work independently and efficiently, complete tasks timely, and must be willing to put in the extra time when needed to complete the required tasks.
• Confidentiality and integrity, strong work ethic, analytical skills, willingness to take direction and initiative.

• Base salary range: $55,000 - $65,000 based on experience
