Duties & Responsibilities

• Reconcile daily store deposits (this includes cash, credit card, and other)
• Enter daily sales reports into accounting software
• Maintain A/R subledger and coordinate with sales department to ensure proper tracking of receivables related to catering orders
• Conduct periodic reconciliations of other financial accounts to ensure their accuracy including monthly reconciliations of bank accounts
• Reconcile and maintain monthly inventory entries
• Prepare manual journal entries during the monthly close process
• Assemble information for external auditors during the annual audit
• Manage corporate expense report process and perform Concur maintenance as needed
• Maintain vendor Masterfile and provide other control support to the AP department as necessary
• Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements, including sales and use tax filings
• Any other duties as assigned by the Assistant Controller, Controller, or management team

Qualifications

• College degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping and basic accounting principles
• Outstanding communication (written & verbal), presentation, time management, and organizational skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft products
• Desire to learn and identify opportunities for continuous process improvement

Physical Demands

• Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including papers, boxes and/or computer equipment.
