About the Role
Our client, an Atlanta-based Private Equity firm is seeking a staff accountant to work under their Controller in their Buckhead office. Candidates should be comfortable being on-site full-time.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in Accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA is a plus, but not required
- Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role.
- QuickBooks experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Access, and Excel).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Month-End and Year-End Close: Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and setting up and monitoring recurring JEs.
- Billing and Collections: Supervise and monitor all billing and collections for the Company.
- Financial Controls: Have basic knowledge and prepare work in accordance with the Company’s established financial controls.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency, and automation in the department.
- Supporter: Back-up other positions within the accounting department.
