Edda’s Cake Company is an established retail and wholesale cake bakery and distribution company in South Florida. We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Confidentiality, excellent organization skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Keep AR Aging reports up to date, and make sure every customer is paying within their agreed terms.
- Match payments received with open invoices. Notify any discrepancies to the accounting manager.
- Maintain constant contact with customer in collections, and set up payment plans for some.
- Make deposits and record all cash receipts.
- Distribute customer invoices and ensure that receivables are collected in a timely manner.
- Maintain an organized and streamlined accounting system.
- Provide administrative support to management when required.
- Process Intercompany Transfers
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
- Experience with accounting software – Quick Books & Microsoft Office.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to keep records and files organized.
- Ability to identify errors and solve problems.
- Competent collaborator and skilled cross-functional communicator.
- Strong time management with respect for deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Experience:
QuickBooks: 1 years (Preferred)
Bookkeeping: 1 years (Preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
