Eastern Sports Management is currently accepting applications for Business Manager at our newest location, Titan Sports & Performance Center (TSPC) in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Business Manager works directly for the General Manager and under the guidance of the Corporate Finance and Human Resource Directors. The Business Manager serves in a leadership position on the TSPC staff and performs the Manager on Duty role as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance

· Assist in the TSPC’s overall financial management, including compliance with the organization’s financial policies and procedures.
· Manage Accounts Receivable, including daily/monthly reconciling of revenue reports and bank deposits.
· Manage Accounts Payable, including the processing of invoices, expense reports, and credit card statements.
· Perform routine, day-to-day tasks associated with financial management such as preparing financial reports, recording data into financial system, depositing cash/checks to banking institution, and auditing petty cash.
· Assist vendors, clients and customers on questions or issues related to accounts, procedures and services.
· Monitor organizational cash flow and assist with forecasts and budgeting for the TSPC.
· Assist ESM’s Director of Finance with requested tasks and reporting.

Human Resources

· Serve as the primary Human Resources contact for the TSPC.
· Manage/Monitor timesheets and train department heads in timesheet management.
· Assist department heads with the opening of requisitions and throughout the hiring and onboarding process.
· Assist with conducting interviews and the selection of candidates to ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies.
· Manage E-Verify
· Conduct new employee orientations and staff training.
· Serve as the TPSC’s subject matter expert for the company’s benefits plan.
· Oversee employee recognition programs and employee events to boost employee morale.
· Manage internal and external Human Resource-related issues in accordance with company policies and procedures.
· Assist ESM’s Director of Human Resources with requested tasks and reporting.

Business Operations

· Support the management team in the execution of the company mission and work with various department heads (i.e., Business Development, Tournaments, Leagues, Youth, etc.) accordingly.
· Oversee and manage the Front Desk staff and Shift Supervisors.
· Oversee and manage the Internship program (if applicable).
· Perform (or delegate) various office and clerical functions such as ordering supplies, routing mail, operating office equipment, and assisting customers.
· Other duties as assigned.
  • Previous experience in Finance and Human Resources
  • Experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred
  • Experience with UKG Ready is a plus
  • Experience with POS systems is required
  • Experience with DaySmart is preferred
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Must be extremely professional in appearance, demeanor, and communication
  • Must be detail-oriented with outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet required deadlines
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information
  • Ability to work in both a group setting and with minimal supervision

    Education and/or Experience : Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Language Skills : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations in English. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public in English.

    Mathematical Skills : Ability to interpret and compare data (historical, current, and forecasted) and prepare trend analysis. Ability to calculate time worked given start and stop times.

    Reasoning Ability : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Computer Skills : To perform this job successfully, an individual must have working knowledge of Google Workspace (docs, sheets, slides, etc.) as well as Accounting and Payroll Software (i.e., QuickBooks).
