Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, social services, or another related field is desired. This position requires a minimum of three years’ experience in business or a related field that demonstrates the ability and knowledge of Non-Profit organizations, media contacts, databases, community relations and other related skills. Fundraising and strategic planning are also desired. The ability to work in a team environment, communicate effectively yet politely as a strong team builder and team member.
Additional skills required are managing multiple priorities and delivering against deadlines while maintaining the flexibility necessary to adapt, respond, and meet the needs of the organization. Attention to detail and expertise with digital and social media, communications platforms, and Microsoft Office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop a marketing and communications plan with goals to promote the agency and to acquire donors.
2. Marketing and Public Relations. Lead the agency’s marketing and public relations to increase awareness of the organization in the corporate, nonprofit and government sectors.
3. Outreach and Collaboration. Serve as the voice of East Valley Family Services by working with staff, Board, and outside agencies to manage relationships between other sectors of the community. Ensuring that the agency is working collaboratively with businesses, other nonprofit agencies, government agencies, public schools, colleges and universities, community representatives, foundations, and the media.
4. Design, implement and evaluate the strategies and activities. Including but not limited to:
· Brand management
· Media Relations
· Newsletters
· Annual Report
· Social Media
· Communications Reports
· Websites
· Announcements & Invitations
· Impact Statements
5. Work closely with staff to coordinate the communication for all agency events involving external audiences, including development and production of invitations, guest lists, speakers / presentations, signage, on-site support, and any other needs as assigned.
6. Design, implement and evaluate all marketing needs of the Community Foundation events in partnership with respective departments. Including, but not limited to:
· Donor Cultivation Events
· Leadership, Community & Philanthropy Events
· Special Events
· The Learning Center Workshops
7. Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external audiences.
8. Serve as liaison between departments to ensure proper flow of information and communication.
9. Help identify opportunities in the community to further the goals of the agency.
10. Track and stay knowledgeable and report on critical philanthropy and community issues and identify opportunities for the agency support and initiative development around those issues.
11. Prepare written reports and analysis of Marketing and Communications teamwork.
12. Develop and manage special projects as assigned, including planning and execution for the agency’s Annual Report.
13. Maintain a database of all donors.

2. Participates in events held by and for the benefit of the agency.
3. Other duties as assigned.
