Potential salary: $75,000 - $100,000

Based on experience and growth; not all candidates will be entitled to the higher range.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and ambitious individual to join our team as a Chef in Training . This role is designed for aspiring chefs who are eager to learn, grow, and eventually lead their own culinary team. Under the guidance of our seasoned chefs, you will embark on a journey of culinary discovery, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of kitchen operations while developing the leadership skills needed to inspire and train others.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in food preparation and cooking alongside experienced chefs, gaining exposure to all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations.
  • Lead by example in assistance to training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and reach their full potential.
  • Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Take ownership of your learning and development, actively seeking out opportunities to expand your culinary knowledge and skill set.
  • Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, tackling new recipes, techniques, and responsibilities with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications:

  • A passion for food and a strong desire to pursue a career in culinary arts.
  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
