Job Summary

In the Human Resources Manager position, you will direct the activities of the human resources function for 300 employees, including supervision of the HR support staff. You will provide leadership to the management team on employee relations, compensation, benefits, compliance, and recruitment.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage compensation management initiatives, such as performance reviews, goal setting, and merit increases.
  • Responsible for full cycle recruiting as well as on and off boarding.
  • Supervise the processing of a bi-weekly payroll for 300 employees.
  • Supervise unemployment claims and attend any required hearings as Company representative.
  • Act as Plan Administrator to the Company’s 401(k) plan. Complete all required filings, including non-discrimination testing and the filing of the IRS 5500’s.
  • Manage all benefit plans, including plan design and annual filings.
  • Maintain human resources information system (HRIS) records in our system.
  • Responsible for compliance with all Federal and State legislation pertaining to human resources matters (EEO, ADA, FMLA, etc.).
  • Act as a member of the Company’s security team. Participate in security audits and the SOC2 certification audit process.
  • Manages workers comp claims and reports and maintains OSHA 300 logs and investigation reports.
  • Responsible for employee relations issues. Conducts internal investigations and provides counsel to Managers on policy and disciplinary matters to insure fair and consistent application.
  • Participate in the Company’s Safety team, making recommendations on safety initiatives.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or related field.
  • 8 - 10 years' experience in Human Resources in a supervisory/management role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll systems, preferably ADP Workforce Now including plan setup, reporting, and bi-weekly processing.
  • Comfortable resolving conflict, administering disciplinary actions, and performing terminations.
  • Excellent people and leadership skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
  • Extensive knowledge of the leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the FMLA, PFML, ADA, and other applicable State and Federal laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
