Align Credit Union is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Lowell, MA

To assist the Human Resources department in the monitoring of all HR functions by enforcing all applicable policies and procedures at the Credit Union, processing payroll and other benefits timely and accurately, and abiding by all relevant state and federal laws.

  • Processing and transmitting weekly payroll ensuring accuracy and, in consultation with supervisors, resolves questions concerning time and attendance entries to ensure accuracy of records. Assists with payroll reports that may be required monthly and annually. Reviews payroll weekly for accuracy and audit.
  • Provides daily administrative support to the Human Resources Dept. to include maintaining accurate and up-to-date HR files, records, and documentation. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of HR matters, files, and records. Performs periodic audits of HR files to ensure compliance.
  • Organize and distribute employee communications focused upon employee achievements and activities. Assist in general HR communications.
  • Coordinates the onboarding efforts for all personnel, including new employee orientation, focusing on Align Credit Union's Company Culture. Responsible for the planning and coordination of new hire orientation including updating the presentations with changing information and ensuring IT resources are ordered and new hires have proper set up upon arrival.
  • Ensure incoming employees are set up with proper onboarding requirements including background authorization, reference, and bondability checks, I9 verification, building access badges are ready and new hire is set up in all systems properly.
  • Assists in administering all Align Credit Union benefits including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, and 401k. Utilizing and integrating all the benefits on the ADP Self Service Portal. Conducts research periodically to strengthen our benefits programs and/or streamline processes.
  • Function as the subject matter expert for the onboarding and survey modules of the HR Information Systems. Responsible for maintaining employee information in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System) modules.
  • Perform internal customer service functions, responding to employee requests and questions in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for coordination of purchasing general products for the Credit Union including office supplies and credit union gift cards.
  • Inspire teamwork, respect, and effective communication in a diverse work environment. Demonstrate and uphold Align Credit Union’s core values and represent the Credit Union with a high level of professionalism, respectable image, and positive demeanor.
  • Complete annual regulatory compliance and required job related training as assigned; actively participate in job-related educational and professional development opportunities. Maintain knowledge of regulatory changes and compliance with credit union policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Ensure compliance posters are accurately updated.
  • Participate in departmental and organizational projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to contribute to departmental efficiency and work cooperatively with other departments to support each other in serving Align Credit Union members.
