Summary

DPS is seeking an Automation Project Manager for a drug substance manufacturing client in Coppell, TX. The successful candidate will manage all Automation lifecycle deliverables including changes to existing or new automation design, specification, installation, and qualification. Reporting to a Project Director, the Automation Project Manager will ensure all project deliverables are achieved through effective management and coordination of several automation vendors and engineers to deliver high-quality 'right first time' (RFT) changes to software and systems in a live manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Create automation integration plan for pharmaceutical manufacturing site
• Build automation integration logic for the project while adhering to project timelines
• Deliver high-quality controlled changes to software and systems in a manufacturing environment
• Ensure accurate development, review, and approval of HDS, FDS, SDS, and Test Packs for automation and control projects are completed in accordance with GAMP protocols and project specifications
• Ensure client instrument, controls, and automation requirements and System Architectures are specified correctly to meet specific project needs
• Ensure any proposed automation solutions are accurate and reflective of Client and regulatory requirements
• Manage vendors assigned to integrate new automation platforms
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 7 years of Automation Engineering experience
• Experience managing automation projects in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or similar process plant environment
• Solid understanding of a wide range of automation systems
• Experience mapping out and quantifying the main automation systems used on a drug manufacturing site
• Rockwell FactoryTalk automation software experience highly preferred
• Trane BMS experience preferred
• Background in developing systems architecture, both physical and virtual
• Experience managing both site resources and sub-consultants
• Experience in CSV planning
• Experience drafting automation documentation & GAMP documentation preferred
• Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travelers and relocation.
