We are seeking a Project Manager II for an opportunity with our Boston team that will collaborate with clients and project teams throughout the project and development management processes and encourage project teams to work collaboratively and resolve complex decisions to ensure the project is completed successfully. A bachelor's degree in construction management, Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, or Business Management field is required with 7 years of relatable experience or training. Experience working with cultural facilities such as museums, visitor centers, preforming arts centers and theaters are a desired plus.
Duties and Responsibilites
    • Works with clients to determine project needs and project feasibility.
    • Assists with planning and analysis of preconstruction activities and conceptual design issues;
    • Coordinates and assists in the development of construction drawings and bid documents.
    • Assists with monitoring project conformance to plans, specifications, and applicable standards.
    • Collaborates with contractors to resolve construction issues to keep projects on budget and on schedule.
    • Prepares and maintains project schedules and works to ensure on-time completion from the design and construction teams.
    • Tracks project construction costs and budget.
    • Creates and updates weekly and monthly reports on planning, design, and construction activities.
    • Manages hours for each task to ensure the amount allocated in the contract is not exceeded.
Minimum Requirements
    • Must be a self-starter that is reliable, responsive to client needs, professional, and have the ability to maintain long-term relationships with clients and other construction related and business professionals and handle confidential information with discretion and trustworthiness.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication and superior active listening skills.
    • Must be learning oriented, adaptable, and have a broad knowledge of project controls, project management, construction documentation and construction sequencing.
    • Creative and advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to transfer prior experience to new projects.
    • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite and Excel required. Some proficiency in BlueBeam, AutoCad, eBuilder, or other web-based project management tools strongly desired.

$90,000 - $110,000 a year
