What you'll do

In the position of a Senior Director of Marketing Technology, you will act as a “Product Manager” for the Marketing Technology portfolio of business applications. You will be responsible for understanding the marketing lifecycle, analyzing complex business problems, and delivering solutions that are focused on the scalability and continuous improvement of DocuSign’s marketing processes and applications. As a Senior Director, you will lead a team of marketing technology product experts and you will closely collaborate with DocuSign’s Marketing and cross-functional Enterprise teams to create a product vision and deliver world class at scale applications. The successful candidate will understand the DocuSign business and marketing best practices, and be able to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions that delight your internal customers.

This position is a people manager role reporting to the Vice President of Business Applications.

Responsibility

  • Lead a Marketing Application team responsible for product management of the marketing tech stack
  • Develop product vision for new and existing marketing systems and analytic programs that drive growth for digital, direct and partner motions
  • Manage various technology initiatives that support the Growth department
  • Manage multiple resources and projects concurrently to ensure successful completion of analytic projects
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the business and technology teams, including Customer, Marketing, Digital, Direct and Product teams, to drive marketing innovation
  • Drive conversations with enterprise architects, business, and technology stakeholders
  • Design customer-specific strategic marketing approaches that will quantitatively demonstrate value through the development and implementation of fresh and innovative marketing approaches that deliver business results
  • Work with businesses, assessing opportunities and risks, to help realize their tactical and strategic objectives
  • Identify and proactively manage risk areas, and commit to see an issue through to complete resolution
  • Drive the culture of ROI for all touchpoints in marketing lifecycle based on customer touchpoints
  • Follow trends in technology and new solutions that should be further explored
  • Represent the enterprise towards marketing technology vendors
  • Build and foster high-performing agile teams including working with outsourced vendors
  • Support all applications in the marketing portfolio
  • Ensure organization design and team are in place to deliver against plans
  • Ensure strong operational processes are in place to deliver across all areas of responsibility
  • Mentor team members focused on marketing technologies, lead workflow, customer data platform, and campaign management
  • Create an environment where the team fosters the need to bring in innovation from SaaS industries while prioritizing capabilities that are directly connected to Growth levers

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Information Systems
  • 18 years experience implementing marketing applications in high technology or subscription software organizations
  • Experience managing senior and experienced marketing technology resources in a matrix organization
  • Experience with enterprise system implementations for global companies >$5B in ARR
  • Experience with Marketing, Go-To-Market, and Campaign to Lead business processes, including lead data management, CDP, segmentation, campaign orchestration, and lead management
  • Experience implementing large scale marketing systems with a product management mindset in an agile scrum based model
  • Experience with marketing applications including CDP, MAP, ABM, Omnichannel campaign orchestration and analytics

Preferred

  • Strong understanding of key marketing products and their ability to transform the business
  • Expertise in leading a Marketing Technology Product Management organization
  • Experience leading a product led growth marketing strategy in a SaaS company
  • Attention to detail with the ability to analyze and solve complex problems
  • Functional experience in Marketing Operations, Campaign Operations, and/or Database or Customer Lifecycle Marketing
  • Ability to multi-task and scale quickly in a fast paced environment
  • Creative problem solver
  • Excellent team player able to work with global cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Wage Transparency

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $216,500 - $345,200 base salary

Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $201,600 - $305,750 base salary

This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
