What you'll do

As a Crisis Management Lead, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of crisis response and training activities globally for Docusign.

The Crisis Management Lead must be able to communicate recovery actions to the crisis team, senior management and employees. An ideal candidate must be able to make difficult decisions under pressure using critical-thinking skills, and demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and organize teams. Professionalism, poise and excellent communication skills are important when serving in the role.

An ideal candidate will be passionate about enhancing the security and resilience of the organization and in the face of complex and evolving threats.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Director, Security Operations.

Responsibility

  • Lead global Crisis Management Teams
  • Manage responses to crisis activations including facilitating response meetings, tracking action items critical to the response, conducting after action reviews following the deactivation of crisis teams, and writing after action reports documenting the response and areas for improvement
  • Ensure the completion of action items identified in after-action reports, supporting owners of action items in their completion
  • Monitor potential crises and prepare for crisis situation proactively by preparing runbooks, action plans to minimize impact to Docusign employees, business operations, or reputation
  • Develop response processes and procedures, trainings, and exercises for Crisis Management Teams
  • Build Business Resiliency Program by developing and implementing processes for conducting business impact analyses for critical business functions and developing continuity plans to support recovery from disruptions

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

  • Bachelor’s degree in emergency management or business administration or relevant experience
  • 12 years of relevant experience
  • 5 years of experience in crisis communications, corporate communications, public relations, reputation management or related fields
  • Strong understanding, knowledge of and experience in application of crisis and incident management principles, practices and methods of implementation in a large and complex organization
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders, leading and facilitating application of key management processes to achieve positive organizational outcomes
  • Experience in planning, project management, and delivery of organization wide initiatives

Preferred

  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills and superior interpersonal skills, including facilitation, negotiation and consultation skills to influence key senior stakeholders
  • Strong research, analytical and innovative problem solving skills in a changing and complex environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in achieving goals and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Relevant industry certifications such as the Institute for Crisis Management (ICM)
  • Experience working with various levels of management
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences
  • Expertise in managing multiple initiatives simultaneously; ability to collaborate with cross-functional technical teams
  • Exceptional business writing, training, communication, organizational and presentation skills

Wage Transparency

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $146,800 - $235,025 base salary

This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
