What you'll do

The Payroll Analyst is responsible for proactive collaboration with key internal business partners within the Global Payroll organization and our third party vendors, and requires independent thinking in handling payroll analysis and validations. To be successful in this role, the Payroll Analyst needs to be familiar with wage and hour laws, Federal, State, and Global Tax legislations, and strong motivation to contribute to the achievement of an efficient payroll process.

The individual must be able to handle ambiguity, be self-motivated to figure out the total picture, and propose resolutions or take appropriate action. They must pay great attention to detail and can deliver results under pressure, as well as work efficiently in a rapidly changing environment.

This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager, Payroll.

Responsibility

  • Complete accurate and timely processing of US and international payroll (Canada, Egypt, and Mexico)
  • Review, validate, and reconcile payroll data to ensure accurate payroll payments, reporting and records
  • Audit and validate time keeping system data
  • Interpret pay policies, (e.g., holiday worked, on call, overtime, calculation basis for deductions, government regulations, withholding exemptions) and ensure appropriate amounts or deductions are calculated and applied to the various accounts correctly
  • Ensure accurate quarter and year-end processing included but not limited to federal, state, and local tax reconciliations, both US and globally
  • Provide exemplary service and respond to complex payroll related inquiries from employees, managers, HRBPs, HR Operations, and external third party vendors
  • Assist in the review of current payroll processes to identify areas of process improvements and standardization
  • Create and write Standard Operating Procedures in a clear and organized way
  • Work in a team environment by supporting other team members in the processing of payroll and project work while working under tight deadlines
Job Designation

Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.

What you bring

Basic

  • 5 years of payroll-related responsibilities
  • BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred

  • CPP/FPC certification
  • Experience with Workday and ADP systems
  • Solid understanding of payroll knowledge and principles
  • Some understanding of payroll processing within a shared services environment
  • Solid time management skills with the ability to prioritize assignments in a dynamic work environment
  • Proficient computer, organizational, analytical, research and problem solving skills
  • Intermediate Excel level, proficient with Google applications
  • Complete self-initiated training necessary to remain current on payroll practices
  • Ability to learn processes quickly for more efficient and effective results
  • Ability to troubleshoot payroll processing issues, run and analyze reports
  • Ability to apply documented rules, past practices, or instructions on an independent level
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and be agile
  • Ability to process and connect information in times of ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to hold information confidential with excellent judgment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a willingness to learn new things
Wage Transparency

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $86,500 - $124,725 base salary

Illinois and Colorado: $80,600 - $104,750 base salary

Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $80,600 - $112,450 base salary

This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and .
