Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Cash Applications Specialist to join our team. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing and processing incoming payments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial transactions. This is a vital role within our organization, as you will play a key part in maintaining positive relationships with our clients and ensuring timely payment collection.
Duties:
- Process and record incoming payments from clients
- Reconcille accounts
= OTC, Lockbox
- Verify and reconcile discrepancies in payment records
- Generate and send out invoices to clients
- Monitor accounts receivable aging to identify delinquent accounts
- Contact clients regarding outstanding payments and negotiate payment plans if necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any billing or payment issues
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Experience:
- Previous experience in accounts receivable or a related field is required
- Knowledge of bank AR preferred
- Experience with Lock Box, Remittance experience
- Strong Excel Skills
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles and accounting procedures
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as SAP
- Excellent negotiation skills to effectively communicate with clients regarding payment matters
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Exceptional customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette
