The Oregon Department of Early Learning & Care is excited to announce a permanent opening for a Budget Support Specialist (Fiscal Analyst 2).

This is a hybrid position but will primarily work from home with roughly 8-10 days per year expected in the office.

This position is part of (DELC) which is an agency that prides itself on enabling Oregon's young children and families to learn and thrive. We are responsible for overseeing the state’s Early Head Start, Head Start, Prenatal to Kindergarten, and Relief Nurseries programs, licensing Oregon’s child care providers and developing systems that coordinate regional cross sector partnerships through Early Learning Hubs. DELC partners with local Child Care Resource and Referral organizations to provide professional learning, coaching, consultation and other quality improvement opportunities for early learning and care providers.

What you will do:

The purpose of this position is to carry out the goals and objectives of DELC by assisting in the development, execution, and monitoring of the Department’s biennial budget. This position acts as budget analyst for department offices/division, as assigned by the Budget Director, assists with the development and preparation of the agency’s biennial budgets and maintains locally generated tracking spreadsheets and other documentation.

Note: A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Public or Non-Profit Management, Finance, Accounting or a related degree (such as Public Policy, Political Science, Public Administration, Economics or other analytical or technical degree) may substitute for three years of the required experience. A graduate-level degree in any of the above areas may substitute for four of the five years.
