Denver Health is Hiring a Foundation Communications Manager Near Denver, CO

Summary:

The Denver Health Foundation Communications Manager will coordinate and execute the Foundation’s communications strategy and plan. The position will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, inspiring, and consistent communication around the organization’s mission and programs. They will oversee the Foundation’s website, social media pages, newsletter, invitations, collateral, donor acknowledgment letters, and general communications. They will work in collaboration with the Hospital’s marketing department as well as the Foundation’s leadership team.

As a member of the DH Foundation team, the Communications Manager position develops print and digital marketing campaigns that communicate the mission and philanthropic objectives of DH Foundation and the Denver Health hospital system. Specifically, the position will work with DH Foundation and DH Marketing teams to develop, lead, and execute messaging strategy and proactive outreach to internal and external audiences.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven ability to tell a story effectively through a range of media engagements (interviews, op-eds, backgrounding, speeches, video, etc.).
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Understanding the perspectives of key stakeholders, from institutional investors to the beneficiaries of our work.
  • Solid understanding of digital advertising, performance marketing, conversion optimization, and online customer acquisition.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Passion for the mission of Denver Health; understanding of the basic principles of social justice and asset-based community development.
  • Self-starter who works well under general supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
  • Deadline driven.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects while staying extremely organized.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences diverse in age, race/ethnicity, educational attainment, etc.

Computers and Technology:

  • Strong understanding of marketing technologies and adaptability to changes in technology.
  • Knowledge of website management, including WordPress, and website analytics measurement methodology and measurement platforms, including Google Analytics.
  • Design software knowledge including Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Email marketing and donor database knowledge including BlackBaud/Raiser’s Edge preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. A degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, New Media, Statistics, or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Five years’ experience in digital marketing and/or communications required.
  • Experience in nonprofit fundraising required.
  • Experience with multi-channel data attribution, customer journey analysis, and retention strategies and tools to maximize customer retention preferred.
  • Experience leading and managing SEO/SEM work, email campaigns, and search/display advertising campaigns preferred.
  • Experience with Programmatic Advertising.

Work Type: Full time

Pay Range:

Minimum: 63,500.00

Midpoint: 79,500.00

Maximum: 95,400.00
