Description:

The following is a great start for expected areas of management / oversight that we will ask Project Manager to take charge of. Oversight and management of these areas will require both adherence to existing company procedures and methods, as well as development and implementation of new and innovative procedures and methods. We are greatly impressed by punctuality, innovation, creativity, organization, communication, and consistency – these are areas that are necessary in order to excel in this position.

Customer Relations

  • Attend all in-person and virtual meetings with Customers
  • Respond to requests for information re: all past, current, and future (pending) OSP and splicing projects
  • Communication with field inspectors, Customer Agents, City Staff / Regulatory Agency Representatives

Project Coordination, Oversight, and Logistics Management may include if not delegated:

  • Create PSC# for each Project.
  • Request PO's for Sub work.
  • Oversee sequencing, timing, schedule of events, which aligns with the Work Package Form
    • Coordinate crews and allocate resources based on Customer Priority and Preferred sequence.
      • Permit status updates
      • Review Material Status
      • Pothole Crew
      • Trench Crew/Bore crew
      • Vault Crew
      • Fiber Crews
      • Splice Crew
      • CLOSE-OUT/Turn-over
    • Track and Review Core and Accpetance 2 weeks prior to Turn-Over. This will give PRG 5 days to review.
    • Monitor Crew Hours Vs Production. Monday Through Friday Work weeks.
    • Updates VM ON Rainouts or other events
    • Ensure/Review Subs are delivering Proper documentation and following BCOMM and Customer Standards with the Final products
    • Update and Approve/Deny Invoices on Sub sheet tracker and Send approved invoices.
    • Manage Core Gigs/Street sheets and Connex Tickets & stay up to date with close outs.
    • Track Substantial Completions (AKA Turn-over with Zero Gigs) Per Project.
    • Follow up with Lien Waiver Certificates from Our Subs
    • Final Completions Certificates with COA Permit Closeout.
    • Coordination and submission of locates
    • Creation and continual update of Construction and Splicing Redlines
    • Preparation, organization, and submission of all project-related submittals at their request or at their discretion
    • Data collection, management, and submission including use of tools like Input Logs, Street Sheets, etc. and coordination with SCHEDULING department as well as SUBMITTAL department for timing and redlining/deliverables
    • Collection and processing of daily submittals from crew foremen, PCM (Project Construction Manager), and subcontractors
    • Collaborate and Coordinate with PCM on meeting sales goals and targets for market
    • Collaborate with Program Manager on personnel hiring, selection, onboarding, and crew placement
    • Collaborate with Program Manager on Subcontractor selection, onboarding, and management
    • Management of local vendors and resources, such as providers, suppliers, etc.
    • Submittals to Human Resources such as timekeeping, project time allocation, etc.
    • Coordinate with B Comm Safety Department to ensure all policies are followed and JSA’s are being created and collected, as well as all pre-construction checklists

In-Field OSP Activities - Management

  • We ask that Project Manager coordinate activities in the field through Project Managerr Construction Manager(s). The management of schedules, locates, construction activities, customer expectations, reporting, timelines and deadlines, personnel hiring, selection, subcontracting, and placement, etc. IS SO IMPORTANT that we need a person dedication to management of these tasks. It is very difficult to capture what is going on in the field without actually going out in the field and observing, verifying, and affirming/denying.
