Overview

Oak View Group is hiring a Manager, Internal Communications & Community based in NY, NY or Denver, CO. Reporting to Senior Director, Internal Communications & Community.

We are expanding our People & Culture team by adding a new role, the Manager of Internal Communications & Community. This person will be responsible for executing strategies that clearly and effectively communicate the business vision with our global workforce and align our teams around one company mission – to be positive disruptors to business as usual in sports, live entertainment and hospitality.

This person will bring hands-on experience and a collaborative mindset to building and improving systems, programs and pipeline. They apply an agile metholodogy to delivering on expectations while responding to business changes in our fast-paced environment. They will share our passion for creating unforgettale experiences for millions of people around the world, positively impacting the communities in which we live and operate, improving the wellness of our plant, and supporting our people. This job is an individual contributor role but may directly and indirectly manage the work of other teammates or vendors.

This role will pay a salary of $80,000 to $95,000.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the annual multi-channel editorial calendar of internal communications campaigns companywide
  • Responsible for curating, editing and publishing relevant content to company intranet; ensuring accuracy and timely posting of important company news
  • Oversee content management system for company intranet, optimizing engagement and recommending new ideas for growth based on data analysis and interpretation
  • Draft communications including organizational announcements, presentations, messages, talking points, emails, speeches, etc.
  • Support internal stakeholders in executing employee events and activities, reporting on metrics
  • Assist with creating and planning communications campaigns for significant rollouts and initiatives (across Technology, Legal, People Operations, Talent Management & Acquisition, DEI, and others)
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across creative services, marketing, technology to ensure employee communications and community activities align with external messaging and brand voice
  • Support special projects, ad hoc campaigns and programs relevant to our strategy
  • Champion our cultural evolution to be more agile, proactive and focused on innovation

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in communications, public relations, external affairs, marketing
  • Passion and creativity for storytelling, with the ability to breakdown complex subjects across multiple channels
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management
  • Strong executive presence, judgement and ability to build trust with key partners and stakeholders and collaborate effectively.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize high volume, high priority initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • High level of independence, energy and integrity, demonstrates respect for a diversity of opinions and styles, takes accountability and accepts responsibility
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with great judgement
  • Curious nature, a drive to learn new skils, understand how things work and push innovation
  • Interest in sports, live entertainement, hospitality and must enjoy fun
